A DJ stent (Double J stent) is a thin, flexible tube placed inside the ureter β the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder.
π Why the name βDouble Jβ?
It has curved ends on both sides (like the letter βJβ) β one coil sits in the kidney and the other in the bladder to keep the stent in place.
β Commonly used after procedures like RIRS, URS, or stone removal surgeries.
