A DJ stent (Double J stent) is a thin, flexible tube placed inside the ureter — the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder.
🔄 Why the name “Double J”?
It has curved ends on both sides (like the letter ‘J’) — one coil sits in the kidney and the other in the bladder to keep the stent in place.
